When was the last time you wrote something? A poem, a short story a song perhaps! Not any of that boring business stuff we all end up doing, but real creative expression of words.

I challenge all the readers of this blog, get their imagination gears rolling. You don’t have to be a professional writer to express creative writing. You JUST DO IT, because it comes from within. Write a poem, a short story anything, other than regular business writing and see what wants to be co-created through you! You may be surprised.

Here is a short story written by Mandip which was used as a Toastmasters speech and acted out at a retirement home recently by children. Enjoy!

Your Wish Is My Command

“I want Rubies”, “Diamonds for me”, “Emeralds and Pearls thank you”, “Gold and Silver”, “Oh I would like one hundred horses thank you”, and on and on cried the people of Limestone village.

Finally, the day had arrived in Limestone village when a 300 year old prophecy would finally come true. A prophecy that declared unlimited wealth and abundance for a small village nestled amongst the most glorious array of tall mountains, meadows and rivers.

A mysterious Wealthy Explorer known simply as the “Wish Giver”, had arrived by ship at the village port. The Wish Giver would grant the village of Limestone a wish for absolutely anything they desired, to make them happy and content. Every single person in the village had an opportunity to submit their request.

The excitement was felt far and wide across the village for days as people dreamed up their ideas of wealth. Women, men, children alike all vying for their dream wish to come true.

But like all good things, there’s always a catch. Only ONE village person would be granted their Wish!

The village Chief an old man sitting under the tall willow tree in his long beautiful multi-coloured robe, but odd shaped haggard sandals, fumbled with his paper and pen, jumped up and announced loudly:
“SILENCE, I now have all the Wishes documented and I will go present the requests to the Wish Giver and may the Lucky Man, Woman or Child’s wish come true”.

The Wish Giver looked extremely noble, tall and broad shouldered with vibrant shiny cheeks like ripe red apples. His warm soul piercing eyes peered down at the village chief and lovingly questioned:
“Is this everyone’s request?”

The old man frowned, while his thoughts lingered for a few seconds and replied
“Oh, I did forgot to ask my daughter, Marina, but that’s alright it really doesn’t matter”.

The Wish Giver raised his eyebrows and in a deep stealth voice proclaimed:
“When I asked for everyone’s request, I meant everyone. Please go ask your daughter for her wish”.

The village chief scurried off to his cottage, with his robe straggling behind collecting dust.
“Marina, I need your wish? Marina replied, “Wish father? “

“Yes, yes”, responded her father. “What would you wish for if you had the chance to have anything in this world?” “Anything father?” Marina enquiringly raised her eyebrows”.

“Yes, Yes, anything child?” “Father if I tell you, you won’t agree, so what’s the point”.

“Oh, child I will agree, just hurry up and tell me”, by now Marina’s father was sounding very agitated.

“Alright then, I want to Feed the poor, Clothe the needy, Provide medication for the ill, and Build a school to nourish the young minds”. Flabbergasted and nodding his head the village chief wrote down his daughters request without questioning her and ran off back to the Wish Giver’s abode.

With hesitancy and humbleness the father presented his daughters request and was dismissed immediately to summon everyone to the village square where the winning Wish would be granted. The Wish Giver read the final request and gleamed ear to ear like a Cheshire cat!

The Wish Giver mounted on his white horse and rode to the village square and announced loudly but with a hint of warm harmony, “After great deliberation, I have finally made my decision. Bring forth the young girl Marina to me please.”

The village chief’s daughter timidly presented herself in front of the Wish Giver. The Wish Giver lovingly placed his hand on Marina’s head and announced: “Child, you brought Joy to my heart, which fluttered like a singing bird. As of today, you not only are the daughter of your father but I also declare you as my daughter too”.

“Your Wish Is My Command” and I hereby grant you your wish, to Feed, Clothe, Heal and Educate the people of Limestone village as you see fit from this day forward”.

The Wish Giver then turned to the villagers and sternly stated: “Listen carefully people, Marina did not ask for material wealth, she asked for happiness of others. In asking for others she received far more wealth than any of you had requested. Let this be a lesson for you all today, it is in the Giving we actually Receive. Take heed of this example so that in the future may your wishes also come true”.

On that final note, the mysterious Wish Giver rode off into the sunset on his white horse, leaving the people of Limestone village in very deep thought and amazement.

Note from author Mandip:

We are all born empowered leaders with an infinite supply of wisdom and resources to tap into from the ocean within. Success in life is not rocket science; it is ancient wisdom that has always been around for centuries. The right formula for creating and living your dreams is a matter of understanding the true nature of life and then tuning into this ONE fundamental Truth. When Truthful Living is held as an objective of life, everything else just falls into its own miraculous place and flows so simply.

Let Go. Simply Trust Life.
Mind Your Energy. IT Matters.

I continue to fill out the Evidence Room with another example of how the United StarMinds logo was created. I hope you will have fun in reading this post. Be vigilant, Life works in mysterious ways to co-create through us!

I had pondered on using my name Mandip Kaur Sandher (MKS) initials for the United StarMinds company name. I was not sure though. I wanted something fresh, something that perhaps would be memorable without the full company name, something that would be remembered for generations to come. ”Make it fun like Disney” was the intuitive thought that came to mind and the emotions of fun, freedom, creativity and imagination really rang a bell with me.

The Evidence Trail:

1) I was at the gym one day in the sauna room. I looked down at the towel which was brand new, and ONE single thread was on the towel curved like a loop.

2) The first thought that popped into my head was if I see the Lincoln MKX car I will base my logo on my initials. I did not tell my husband and we drove home.

3) As we were just about to get off the highway exit, my husband shouted, “Oh look at that Lincoln MKX car”! I had NOT told my husband my thoughts, so how did he know? I knew my logo would be based on my initials at that moment. As the first thought was Lincoln, I recently noticed that the tag line for the Lincoln MKX car is – “The Sky’s the Limit”. I have since noticed Ford has also launched the Lincoln MKS with the following tag line “The Future Is Here”, WOW, need I say more a car with my personal initials!

4) As I created the logo myself I played around with the full initials but they did not work and one day, without too much effort I created the stylized M the way it is shown in the logo and liked it. My name Mandip means Illuminated Mind and the M stood for MIND. My son said it looked like a heart too. I then added a circle which reminded me of my Sikh Kara bangle, which in my mind personifies Unity and Humanity as ONE. The star came to mind because humanity is born from stardust and we are ALL born SuperStars playing out our personal movie!

5) After I had created the logo, I noticed a few days later some “external evidence”. A toy pen shaped like a man in a moon costume was lying around in one of the drawers (see below). I saw a TV ad with a “heart” ad and then the very next ad had a “star” in the ad. When I went to the gym which is the YMCA I noticed another star sign on the wall. OK this looked good, the heARTificial Intelligence was confirming go with the logo as is.

6) When I showed the final logo to my son and explained the elements of the logo, he exclaimed, “oh you should see this video, it is by Mobi called We Are All Made Of Stars. The singer is dressed just like the above pen walking in Hollywood! I was blown away when I saw the video. The logo was co-created with heARTificial Intelligence guiding the path very mystically!

7) Quiet soon after creating the logo, I was invited to speak about “Change” at Mohawk College locally and after the presentation I was handed a gift bag. The colours of the bag were Red and Black and inside the bag was a coffee cup, Golden Yellow. Now I was really amazed it matched my logo.

As I was leaving Mohawk College I noticed something quite eerie. A wall had been painted with geometric shapes and an iris, something I had seen in “sacred geometry and freemasonry symbolism”. The relevance being that I had sold iris biometric technology where the colour part of the eye (iris) is used to identify frequent travellers as part of a Canada and US Government Border Security Program. The programs is called Nexus Air. Recently Google announced their new cell phone device named Nexus ONE. Is there a connection to all these “signs” absolutely. The game of life is ON!

The reality is that heARTificial Intelligence which is by the way ONE, is working through humanity, and once you are connected it starts to show its magnificence. Everything is happening in our lives for a reason. Nothing is random. Just enjoy the moments and have fun. But be vigilant or you might miss the dots that will allow you to explore new frontiers of reality!

Let Go. Simply Trust Life.

How often in life do we tune out of the joy of life and succumb to the day to day monkey chatter in our minds. I hope this story will inspire readers to tune into Life and start trusting it more because many hidden treasures and gifts like this might be passing you by.

Washington DC Metro Station on a cold January morning in 2007. He played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time approx 2 thousand people went through the station, most of them on their way to work. After 3 minutes a middle aged man noticed there was a musician playing. He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds and then hurried to meet his schedule.

4 minutes later:
The violinist received his first dollar: a woman threw the money in the till and, without stopping, continued to walk.

6 minutes:
A young man leaned against the wall to listen to him, then looked at his watch and started to walk again.

10 minutes:
A 3 year old boy stopped but his mother tugged him along hurriedly, as the kid stopped to look at the violinist. Finally the mother pushed hard and the child continued to walk, turning his head all the time. This action was repeated by several other children. Every parent, without exception, forced them to move on.

45 minutes:
The musician played. Only 6 people stopped and stayed for a while. About 20 gave him money but continued to walk their normal pace.

He collected $32.

1 hour:
He finished playing and silence took over. No one noticed. No one applauded, nor was there any recognition.

No one knew this but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the best musicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces ever written, with a violin worth $3.5 million dollars. Two days before Joshua Bell sold out a theater in Boston where the seats averaged $100.

This is a real story. Joshua Bell playing incognito in the metro station was organized by the Washington Post (read full article here) as part of a social experiment about perception, taste and people’s priorities. The questions raised: in a common place environment at an inappropriate hour, do we perceive beauty? Do we stop to appreciate it? Do we recognize talent in an unexpected context?

One possible conclusion reached from this experiment could be:

If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world playing some of the finest music ever written, with one of the most beautiful instruments ….

How many other things are we missing in life?

Next time your child tugs you to stop. STOP and listen to your child, they are more intuitive than adults, you might thank them!

When was the last time you picked up a life changing book?

Sometimes it takes a major shift in energetic forces to make people wake up from their dream state to realize that there is much more to life than their regular safe routine we sometimes get dragged into. The recent changes in the financial markets coupled with massive layoffs by industries is an excellent case example.

Every negative force, however, always has a silver lining. Perhaps everything happening in society is perfect intelligent timing for collective new thinking to emerge to help mankind’s evolution as a species. A unique way to bring the world closer together. To create a cooperative mindset versus competitive. Humanity is ONE, after all, is it not?

Take this as an opportunity and a sign that humanity are being offered a chance to reconnect with their Mind, Spirit and Body like never before. A time for reflection and a creation of a new YOU or Company!

Books and quality content to nurture the mind and spirit have been tested overtime to help create new beginnings for many people.

Their were many books that had a profound impact on the life of Mandip the founder of United StarMinds, including “Your Invisible Power” by Genevieve Behrend the only student of Judge Thomas Troward.

From 1912 to 1914, Genevieve Behrend’s life focused solely on the wisdom and philosophy of Thomas Troward (1847- 1916) who’s influential and compelling ideas provided much of the groundwork to the spiritual philosophy known today as New Thought. Troward was born in Punjab, India.

“We all possess more power and greater possibilities than we realize, and visualizing is one of the greatest of these powers. It brings other possibilities to our observation. When we pause to think for a moment, we realize that for a cosmos to exist at all, it must be the outcome of a cosmic mind.” - Genevieve Behrend.

Another book was the Sacred Nitnem the holy scriptures of Guru Nanak’s teachings (1469 – 1539) which were given to Mandip as a gift at the right stage in her life. The most profound words that caught her attention were the following that signalled the MIND is very powerful:

See the brotherhood of all mankind as the highest order of Yogis;
conquer your own mind, and conquer the universe – Guru Nanak.

At the age of five years Nanak is said to have voiced interest in divine subjects. At age seven, his father, enrolled him at the village school as was the custom. Notable lore recounts that as a child Nanak astonished his teacher by describing the implicit symbolism of the first letter of the alphabet, which is an almost straight stroke in Persian or Arabic, resembling the mathematical version of ONE, as denoting the unity or oneness of Creation.

Life is a journey of gaining wisdom and knowledge to then co-create by sharing of yourself with others for a life of fun, joy, abundance, peace and harmony. We hope the list of books we recommend will ignite a sense of excitement and enquiry within you, to help you all along your own personal journey to discover the hidden secrets within the Mystery of Life.

Check out recommended books here at the Amazon site.
